In this course students are introduced to principles of animation as well the software tools and equipment they will be using to make their stop-motion animation projects.

During the 2018 edition of this program students learn how to make stop motion animation relevant to issues in the everyday life and world issues by using the UN Rights of the Child as a theme. Under this premise students learn how to use diverse stop motion techniques as a medium to tell stories in the most effective way getting across the themes that they are learning about.

The Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) provides curriculum-based educational experiences to approximately 50,000 students each year, as well as an array of dynamic, engaging tours, talks, workshops, and screenings for children, teens, families, adults, and seniors.
