Film festival that aims to promote and gather the work of Hispanic producers and directors.
Are Hispanic productions renowned enough for the North American audience? Could they be more diffused in the United States, particularly in New York City?
My organization Colectivo Piloto thinks that Latino and Spanish producers have a lot to show to the North American audience.
With screenings, conferences and other diverse activities “Primavera de los Realizadores” is the moment for Hispanic cine to shine and to further develop its relations with local New York City-based producers.
“Primavera de los Realizadores” is looking for partners and sponsors for its first upcoming edition in spring 2017. Colectivo Piloto calls any organizations, institutions or professionals to join for the organization of this event. You can learn more about this film festival here.
As well, you can also follow “Primavera de los Realizadores” on Facebook.
Film challenge that brings together communities by inviting them to create short films using the residents of their block as cast and crew.
New York is a crowded and busy city. Its inhabitants rarely meet with the people living around them. “On My Block Films” creates an opportunity for neighbors to introduce themselves, to work together, and to create trusted relationships through a collaborative filmmaking process.
I have had the honor to work as Director of Event Management in the 2013 edition of “On My Block Films”.

Pioneering film festival in the region of Dakar, Senegal, offering film screening and workshops about African Cinematography.
Mboro Sur Mer is a small village near the capital of Senegal, Dakar. Working with the local non-profit organization Project Japoo, my organization Colectivo Piloto created “Mboro Festival du Cinéma” to contribute to the education of the population through film screenings, mainly from African filmmakers, but also workshops, lectures, debates and concerts, all performed by local artists.
“Mboro Festival du Cinéma” shows to its participants and its public that, despite its economical situation, Africa also possesses audiovisual capabilities, and that these are the reflection of their rich culture and history.
Film festival which combines competition and free activities, entertainment and information related to different areas of the audiovisual creation.
With its diverse sections of participation,”Barcelona VisualSound” has been active for more than 12 years promoting young artists and helping them to grow professionally. With rewards such as the Best Narrative, Documentary and Original Soundtrack, among others, this festival aims to broadcast the work of young creators from different horizons and different perspectives.
By decentering activities from the downtown main theaters, it also brings audiovisual culture to all Barcelona’s neighborhoods and encourages diverse public gatherings.
I have been working for the “Barcelona VisualSound” during more than 4 years planning and managing film screenings, exhibitions and conferences, and managing the documentary section.

The first film festival in Spain to promote the use of mobile devices and digital cameras for short film productions.
Back in 2006, emerging media such as mobile phones and digital cameras changed users’ approach to photography and film production. For the first time, an accessible tool let any and all to produce movies. To give these new filmmakers a place in the audiovisual scene, from my organization Colectivo Piloto we created the first “miniFILM Festival,” in the city of Barcelona.
For over four years, from 2006 to 2009, I lead the “miniFILM Festival” and innovative event which promoted the creative use of mobile devices. The high participation, throughout Europe and South America, not only tells us about the needs, but also the capabilities of mobile phone users to experiment with their devices. The way the participants used their tiny cameras and personal devices were indeed creative and ingenious. The following video of Júlia Cruz can exemplify this creativity:
Each year, the best productions are screened in the city of Barcelona, and prizes are awarded to the winners of each sections: Documentary, Narrative and Video Art.
